FAQ for the JACoW editors

Here are answers to frequently asked questions about the editorial team.

Editing dates: There will be an editorial team meeting on Wednesday May 13th at 16:00, followed by editing starting on Thursday May 14th at 9:00 and ending on May 22nd at noon.

Hotel: The LOC has booked a room for the editorial team at Almoria Hôtel & SPA 37-39, avenue de la République, 14800 Deauville, France. Unlike announced previously, there won’t be a booking link sent to each editor, the booking has been made based on the answer to the editor’s registration form.

Expenses covered: Accommodation will be paid for by the LOC, and meals (lunch and dinner) will either be provided or a meal allowance of 35€ per meal will be paid to the editors when no meal is provided (you will need to provide a receipt; the reimbursement will be 35€ regardless of the amount you paid). If you do not stay at the hotel, a per diem of 130 € will be paid to cover your accommodation costs. French per diem rules require you to keep copies of your receipts until you are reimbursed.

Social event for the editors: On Thursday, 14th May, the editorial team will have a guided visit to Deauville. In the evening on the same day, there will be a dinner for the editors at a restaurant to be specified.

Dress code: There is no specific dress code. Dress as you would for the lab (business casual).We will be invited to some social events (chairperson’s cocktail, conference dinner,…) for which some people like to dress up, but this is up to you. There will be polo shirts provided to the editors.
